GSE exhibited for the first time in the UK at the 2008 ShedS show. The event took place on the 6th and 7th of February at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales.

The event, that has only been running for a few years, has rapidly gained in popularity with the industry. As a preferred event for many organisations within the construction and property investment industries, we chose this venue as it provided a logical platform to reinforce our presence in the UK.

Our aim for this event was to present GSE and to provide a focus on our areas of expertise; design and build and our commitments to; quality and rapid construction techniques, worldwide team support, engineering excellence and sustainable developments which we presented with our comprehensive portfolio of global projects .

The feedback we received from our new and existing clients as well as our subcontractors has been excellent. This event gave us some great opportunities to hold open discussions and exchange ideas on how best to help our customers achieve their development ambitions both locally and worldwide.

Our exposure at the event initiated some new enquiries from companies looking at expanding their business both in the UK and overseas.

Our UK office has undoubtedly become a portal to international companies wishing to expand worldwide. We have been particularly busy in Eastern Europe and have already helped many of our key customers expand in these countries by providing on-going local support every step of the way with the help of our offices in Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Romania and Hungary.

Our 3D modelling presentation has also been very well received. This is a new concept that we will be developing with our customers on future projects.

A further focus was to reaffirm our commitment to sustainable solutions. At a time when carbon emissions are a key focus for everyone, it is important to implement sustainable solutions that provide a real return on investment and that are quantifiable in terms of performance.

Many delegates shared our opinion that this event was a success and helped forge new relationships and consolidate existing ones. We will be exhibiting again next year and hope to see you all again and enjoy once more the networking opportunities ShedS offered.
